Doha: The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has launched an upgraded version of the Mushaf Qatar digital application, an integrated platform dedicated to serving the Holy Quran through recitation, memorization and contemplation.
The launch is part of the ministry's efforts to advance digital transformation in line with its strategic plan and the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
The upgraded application offers a range of advanced digital services and features, including an "Intelligent Quran Assistant" that allows users to search for meanings, request interpretations of verses and receive quick, accessible answers to Quran-related questions.
It also provides an integrated system for memorization and revision, with tools enabling users to track their progress verse by verse, organize revision plans and monitor their achievements, helping promote consistency in Quran memorization.
The application also includes a comprehensive audio and interpretation library, allowing users to listen to complete Quran recitations by leading reciters from across the Islamic world as well as Qatari reciters.
It also features an extensive collection of authoritative Quranic commentaries, including the works of Al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir and Al-Qurtubi, supporting a deeper understanding and contemplation of the Quranic text.
Other features include a digital tasbih counter, a Qibla direction finder and a smart interface displaying the time remaining until the next prayer.
The new version also includes a dedicated documentation section highlighting the history and development of the Mushaf Qatar, covering its various stages from the initial concept and the writing and proofreading processes to printing and launch.
The section reflects the scale of the scholarly and technical efforts invested in the project.
Assistant Undersecretary for Islamic Affairs and Chairman of the Mushaf Qatar Committee, Khalid Shaheen Al Ghanem said the launch of the upgraded version is part of the ministry's efforts to develop digital services related to the Holy Quran and provide reliable, authoritative educational content.
He said the application was designed according to the latest technological standards to provide users with a more convenient and efficient experience, describing it as an extension of the Mushaf Qatar's longstanding mission of serving the Holy Quran.
