Sometimes one gets to witness odd — and at times outrageously funny — scenes during a football match. Some scenes can also be painful as players risk injury with jerky runs and sudden falls. It is no different if you happen to go to watch Qatar Stars League (QSL) matches held twice every week at stadiums across the country. Here’s a compilation of photographs that shows players ending up sprawled on the turf and at times getting entangled following a sorry shot or two. There’s tonnes of intensity on the pitch as players battle for ball possession in their fight for points and wins. Fourteen teams are battling for the QSL title this season, which ends in April after each side has played 26 games.
