Doha: Rodrigo Moreno slammed in four goals as Al Rayyan beat Lusail in a seven-goal fest, winning 5-2, in their third-round match of the 2025-2026 season QSL Cup at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium yesterday.
Moreno opened the scoring in the 12th minute before adding three more in the 33rd minute, 81st minute, and 90th + 3 minute, respectively, while Roger Guedes pitched in one in the 84th minute to secure an emphatic victory for The Lions, who maintained their 100 percent run in the tournament, having won all their matches so far.
Both of Lusail’s goals came through substitute Amir Rostay.
In the other results of the day, Al Arabi beat Qatar SC 4-1 at the Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Stadium, Umm Salal scored a crucial 3-1 win over Al Sailiya at the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium, and Al Waab registered their first win as they edged Al Ahli 1-0 at the Hamad Bin Khalifa Stadium.
