DOHA: Argo, directed by and starring Ben Affleck, is set for its MENA premiere at the forthcoming fourth Doha Tribeca Film Festival (DTFF), the annual cultural event organised by Doha Film Institute (DFI) to be held from November 17 to 24.

Affleck’s latest flick will be shown on November 21 at Al Rayyan Theatre in Souq Waqif where DTFF attendees will have the chance to experience the excitement of the hostage thriller before it has its official release in Doha and the region.

The third film directed by Ben Affleck is based on events from recently declassified CIA files and reveals the extraordinary behind-the-scenes drama of the 1979 Iran hostage crisis.

After three weeks of its international release, ‘Argo’ has already earned more than $60m and is heading towards the $100m mark at the American Box office.
