Jemaa helps Al Sailiya blank Al Shahaniya 2-0

DOHA: Issam Jemaa scored a brace as Al Sailiya defeated Al Shahaniya 2-0 to leapfrog at the Qatar Stars League (QSL) standings, here at the Al Wakra Stadium yesterday.
Following the victory, Al Sailiya jumped to the ninth position from 11th, surpassing Al Kharaitiyat with 11 points from three wins and two draws.
Both the Al Sailiya’s goal came in the first half following which the side did well to hold their opponents in the second half which also saw Al Shahaniya’s Masoud Mohammad Reza being red carded in the 51st minute. 
Jemaa scored his first goal with a clinical kick into the net in 35th minute. The Tunisian completed his brace just before the half-time whistle. 
Al Sadd are leading the table followed by Michael Laudrup’s Lekhwiya. Al Gharafa and El Jaish occupy third and fourth position respectively.  
The QSL will resume on November 26 following break for the Gulf Cup.THE PENINSULA
