Doha: Qatar Exchange index lost 165.29 points (-1.42 percent) this week when the bourse closed at 11,439.30 points.
Trading value during this week decreased by 0.42 percent to reach QR 1,166,696,174.84 compared to QR 1,171,560,453.66.
Trading volume increased by 1.94 percent to reach 29,078,713 shares, as against 28,525,797 shares, while the number of transactions fell by 13.98 percent, to reach 15,117 transactions as compared to 17,573 transactions.
Market capitalization fell by 1.30 percent to reach QR 600,146,565,891.86 as compared to QR 608,041,438,131.77 at the end of previous week.
Banking and financial services sector led traded value this week with 36.22 percent of the total traded value. Industries sector accounted for 25.25 percent. Transportation sector accounted for 12.05 percent and real estate sector accounted for 9.21 percent.
Banking and financial services sector led traded volume this week with 27.75 percent of the total traded volume. Transportation sector accounted for 18.81 percent. Real estate sector accounted for 16.94 percent and industries sector accounted 14.86 percent.
Industries sector led traded number of transactions this week accounted for 25.32 percent of the total number of transactions. Banking and financial services sector accounted for 24.20 percent. Transportation sector accounted for 16.40 percent and real estate sector accounted for 11.91 percent.
From the 43 listed companies, eight ended this week higher, while 32 fell and three were unchanged.
Masraf Al Rayan led trading value this week accounted for 17.02 percent of the total traded value. Qatar Gas Transport accounted for 11.57 percent and Gulf International Services accounted for 10.15 percent.
