Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a cable of condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz of Saudi Arabia, following the death of Prince Bandar bin Mohamed bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani sent a similar cable.
Doha: Qatar will take part in a GCC Health Ministers’ Conference from Tuesday in Kuwait. The Minister of Public Health H E Abdullah bin Khalid Al Qahtani will head a Qatari delegation to the meet where a Kuwait Document on combatting non-communicable diseases will be signed and an electronic portal for the GCC health guide launched. The two-day conference will also discuss combatting smoking, vocational health, expat labour and polio, coronavirus and malaria-free Arabian Peninsula. The ministers will discuss a unified procurement and central pharmaceutical registration, the transporting and storage of pharmaceutical products and pricing of medicines. It will discuss the listing of Dasman Centre for Research and Treatment of Diabetes and Rashid Centre for Diabetes and Research among Gulf reference centres.
