Qatar Charity to sponsor Rabat meeting

DOHA: Qatar Charity (QC) is sponsoring a coordination meeting in preparation for the Humanitarian Summit which will take place in Rabat, Morocco from January 26 to 28.
The meeting is organised by the Humanitarian Forum and hosted by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) in coordination with Organization of the Islamic Cooperation, sponsored by QC and the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation.
The meeting aims to draw the attention of directors and heads of boards of directors of civil society organizations working in various areas of development to the issues of efficiency and accountability, given their importance in the management of these organisations, enabling them to use current methodology and tools in building their capacity.
The meeting is being held ahead of the regional meeting of the Global Humanitarian Summit for the Middle East and North Africa, which will be held by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in the first week of March in Amman, Jordan in preparation for the 2016 Humanitarian Summit.
The meeting aims to discuss the outputs and national workshops that have already been held in the Middle East, North, East and South Africa and in Europe to develop a collective perception of Arab societies regarding the future of humanitarian work in the Arab region within the framework of the 2016 World Summit.
