Baghdad Bounedjah (Algeria)
Algerian National Team head coach, the Belgian George Lekinz, gave Al Sadd’s striker Baghdad Bounedjah the call up to participate in the CAN 2017.
Bounedjah left Doha last Sunday to join the training camp for the Algerian National Team in preparations for the Group B fixtures with Tunisia, Senegal and Zimbabwe.
Bounedjah is considered one of the most prominent strikers in the QSL, scoring 15 in the first 13 rounds.
Youssef Al Arabi (Moroccan)
Lekhwiya’s Youssef Al Arabi is looking forward to participating with his national team in the CAN 2017 and playing under the Moroccan National Team head coach, the Frenchman Hervey Reinad.
Morocco is in Group C alongside Congo DR, Togo and Ivory Coast. Al Arabi recently joined the national team training camp in UAE. Lekhwiya will likely miss this lethal striker who has been on top form so far in this QSL season with 17 goals in 13 games.
Ndome Mubele (Congo)
Al Ahli Sports Club will miss one of their key goal scoring machines as their Congolese striker Ndome Mubele heads out to Gabon to take part in Group C of the CAN 2017. Mubele netted eight goals in QSL this season.
Youssef Mesakny (Tunisia)
The Tunisian international and Lekhwiya midfielder, Youssef Mesakny, will participate with the Tunisian National Team.
Despite his absence during most of this seasons fixtures due to injury, he still managed to score five goals for Lekhwiya.
