MES students excel in international art contest

Doha: Students of MES Indian School secured higher positions in the 13th edition of the Faber Castell Spectra International 2021, an annual art carnival conducted online by the Indian Community Relief Fund (ICRF) Bahrain recently. 

The contest which was conducted for various age groups of students witnessed international representations from several schools across the Gulf region and beyond. 

Karthika Mahesh of Class XI won the first prize in category-4. Varsha S Menon of Class IX bagged second prize in category-3. Krishnendhu Venugopal and Krishna Ashok secured sixth and fifth positions respectively in category 3, and Sanjay Shaji secured the 5th place in category-4, and thus all of them featured in the top 10 winning entries. Winners will be receiving individual trophies and certificates. 

The prize-winning artworks in each group will appear in the ICRF’s wall / desktop calendars 2022, which is an added honour and recognition to these budding artists.

The school Principal Hameeda Kadar congratulated the winners for their exceptional accomplishments and earning international recognition. Varsha Synesh, Renitha RR, Sudhir Udhgirkarand, Suresh L H teachers of the Department of Fine Arts were the trainers.
