Doha: A 10-day specialised workshop on safety and security held by General Directorate of Civil Defence (GDCD) for engineers and consultants began here on Sunday at Intercontinental Hotel as part of Building Safety Improvement Programme.
A group of safety experts from US National Fire Protection Association are leading the workshop that is attended by a number of engineers, consultants and specialists from institutions, engineering consultancies and other concerned authorities in the country.
The workshop will discuss many important subjects related to the safety of the new and existing buildings.
