DOHA: In the context of strengthening coordination and integration among entities concerned with charitable work in the country, Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs H E Ghanem bin Shaheen bin Ghanem Al Ghanem, held an expanded meeting with Director General of the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities Mohammed bin Ali Al Qaed, in the presence of heads and representatives of charitable societies.
The meeting aimed to discuss preparations and arrangements for the holy month of Ramadan, and to unify efforts to organize charitable initiatives and programs during the blessed month.
During the meeting, mechanisms for joint coordination between the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, and charitable societies were reviewed.
Ways to enhance institutional integration were also discussed to ensure sound planning and effective implementation of Ramadan initiatives, and to guarantee the organization and efficient, effective direction of charitable efforts toward eligible beneficiaries inside and outside the country.
The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs emphasised the importance of joint action and the integration of roles among various charitable entities, stressing the need to unify visions and programs during the holy month of Ramadan. This, he noted, would contribute to maximizing the humanitarian and social impact of charitable initiatives and reflect the civilized image of the State of Qatar in the field of humanitarian and charitable work.
For their part, participants in the meeting affirmed their keenness to strengthen partnership with the Ministry of Awqaf and the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities, and to operate within an integrated institutional framework that facilitates the smooth and transparent delivery of assistance to its beneficiaries.
