Doha: MES Indian School bade farewell to its batch of class XII students on March 3. A total of 510 students took part in a glittering ceremony that marked the culmination of schooling for these students.
The Chief Guest, K Abdul Karim, President, MES Governing Board, urged the students to exercise moral attributes acquired at school and to be vigilant about the future course of action as life offers diverse paths and career choices.
The School Principal, Hameeda Kadar, in her address, complimented the students for successfully completing their school years and urged them to embrace life-enriching ideals such as sincerity, honesty and hard work as they venture out in pursuit of knowledge.
All the major student officials, prefects, club secretaries and the members of Campus Care Force were honoured with certificates for their creditable contributions to school on the occasion. The best outgoing students of various streams of Class XII, who excelled in their respective domains were given certificates and mementos.
Muhammed Bilal (Science), Jeswin Binu Chacko (Commerce) and Akhil Anvar (Humanities) were adjudged as the best outgoing students in the boys’ section, while Bavisha Rajesh (Science), Niya Ann Raji (Commerce) and Noor Rizwan (Humanities) won the best outgoing student title in the girls’ section of the school.
Mohammed Zayan (boys’) and Lavanya Kodappully Baiju were declared the best all-rounders. Syed Mohammad Yasir and Meenakshy Ganesh won the Talent of the Year award. Mohammad Hamd Ashfaque and Bhavna Biju Chacko were adjudged as the best outgoing prefects. Renit Johnson, Suhail K Sand Suhana KS and Amatun Noor were declared the best sports talents of the year.
Mikhael Jophan and Sainab Haris were adjudged as the best outgoing Scout and Guide respectively. Mohammad Danish and Feba Varghese were the best outgoing CCF (Campus Care Force) members of the school.
Representing teachers, Srilakshmi R Babu delivered an inspiring speech encouraging the students to be steadfast in their ambitions and aspirations. For the students, Sayed Yasir and Juwairiyah Noorul Hasan expressed their gratitude to the alma mater and highlighted the significant role of teachers and their valuable contributions towards perfecting them in every respect.
The members of the school Governing Board including Khaleel A P, Vice President, Ahamed Isham, General Secretary officiating, Ashraf Sharafudheen P T, Director, Finance and Kashif Jaleel, Director, Academics, were among those present on the occasion.
Earlier, Mohammad Hamd Ashfaque, Head Boy, welcomed the gathering. Bhavana Biju, Head Girl, proposed a vote of thanks for the function. A medley of songs and lively dance performances by the outgoing batch of 2021 not only enthralled the audience but also added zest to the programme.
