DOHA: The Supreme Council of Health (SCH) has allayed public fears about the Ebola virus disease (EVD) saying the epidemic is under control globally and so for no case has been detected out of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leon.

The health authorities are in close contact with the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN) at World Health Organisation (WHO) to get the latest development about the Ebola epidemic, said the daily quoting an official source at SCH.
So far the WHO has not issued any instructions on travel or trade ban with the countries where Ebola virus outbreak was reported, said the source.
The risk of Ebola virus infection to the passengers is very low because mostly cases of  human infection is caused by direct contact with the patients through body fluids. There is no cause for concern and the national health care system is ready to deal with any emergency, said the source.
