Kabul: A suicide bomber was killed by police and a second bomber blew himself up in two separate incidents in eastern Afghanistan, officials said.
A man wearing a suicide vest was identified and shot dead by police before he could enter a checkpoint in Waghaz district in the province of Ghazni, said Sediq Sediqqi, an Interior Ministry spokesman.
In neighbouring Khost province, a suicide bomber was the sole victim after he blew himself up near a polling station in Zazi Maidan district, deputy provincial governor, Abdul Wahed Pathan said.
PTI to form two separate events
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and activists are poised for participation in two separate events in the same city to mark the party’s 18th foundation day on April 25.
One to be organised by the PTI, will be graced by its Chairman Imran Khan while another planned at a local hotel where disgruntled leaders and activists will gather to remind their party skipper of the ‘original mission’ and chalk out their future line of action.
It is too early to say, what exactly will be the outcome of the event being organised by Akbar S Babar and others of same thinking, however, they intended to convey a loud and clear message to Imran to ‘return to the old ways’ before PTI. Agencies
