Deals with four private schools to open branches in Lusail City

DOHA: The Lusail City has signed agreements with four private schools to open their branches in the new city.
Minister of Finance H E Ali Sherif Al Emadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Dr Mohammed Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi and Qatari Diar CEO Khaled Mohammed Al Sayed were present at the signing ceremony.
Lusail City Real Estate Development Company has allocated 75,000 meters to establish the schools. Two of the schools will have kindergarten up to secondary levels and a capacity of 3,400 students together.
A third elementary school will have a total of 550 students. All schools will operate starting the 2018/2019 academic year.
The city’s plan is to eventually build 26 schools for 26,000 students, including five Independent schools, the Qatar News Agency has reported.
