Doha, Qatar: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani received a phone call from Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran HE Dr. Abbas Araghchi.
During the call, they discussed the developments of the current escalation and its repercussions on regional security and stability.
His Excellency expressed the State of Qatar’s condemnation of the continuous Iranian targeting of Qatar and countries in the region, emphasizing that this escalation toward nations that have distanced themselves from the war represents a reckless tampering with the region's security and a disregard for its stability.
His Excellency further stressed that targeting civilian infrastructure and the resources of nations is an unacceptable and condemned behavior by any party under any circumstances. He called for the respect of international law by all parties and for sparing people from the consequences of conflicts.
His Excellency affirmed that a comprehensive and lasting diplomatic solution remains the only option for settling the crisis in a manner that achieves security and stability and spares the region from further tension and escalation.
