Birla Public School organised the investiture ceremony to swear in the elected young leaders, for the academic year 2014-‘15, in a function held at Basant Kumar Birla Auditorium recently.
Dinesh Udenia, First Secretary Embassy of India, was the Chief Guest. Resha Udenia, members of the Management, Former Chairman Dr Mohan Thomas, Director Gope Shahani and Life Member Narayanan and other well-wishers of the school were also present.
The ceremony began with a welcome speech by Lakshmi Raj followed by the swearing in ceremony of 20, Grade XII students, 30 Grade XI students, 12 students of International Curriculum and two Student Council Members of each class from Grade VI to XII. The Principal A K Srivastava led the swearing in ceremony.
The Head Boy Aravind Kumaran and the Head Girl Nora were invested by the Chief Guest.
Vice Head Boy Vainatheya and Vice Head Girl Ritica were invested by Dr Thomas, Members of the Student Council Mathew, Rohan and Janani were invested by Shahani.
Campus Correspondents Dan and Purnesh were invested by Udenia, Cultural Secretaries Vishal and Karishma were invested by Narayanan and Sports Captain Athul was invested by the former chairman. All the prefects were invested by Thangam Thomas and Komal Shahni. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks by Sumi Susan Thomas of Grade XII.
