McDonald’s Qatar recently visited the patients of Al Rumailah Hospital, to provide support and encouragement to the patients and celebrate “World Down Syndrome Day” with them.
The hospital visit was part of the company’s corporate social responsibility initiative.
McDonald’s visit to the hospital was met with smiles and warmth as the delegation carefully attended to the patients, listening to their stories and sharing valuable moments together. At the interactive event visit, Ronald McDonald welcomed the kids, played with them and captured their photos while they enjoyed fun activities including face painting and live music. The team also distributed gifts to the children. The visit concluded with the team sharing McDonald’s Happy Meals with all to celebrate the occasion.
“Patients don’t just need high standards of healthcare to recover but also social care and companionship. We were really touched by the excitement and positive spirit demonstrated by the children and their will to enjoy their lives in spite of their conditions,” commented Kamal Saleh Al Mana, Managing Director of Al Mana Restaurants & Food Co, the owner and operator of McDonald’s restaurants in Qatar.
