Doha: The students of Birla Public School (BPS) Kindergarten celebrated Eid Al Fitr and World Book/Red Day recently. Eid Al Fitr is a festival of prayers, joy, happiness, and brotherhood.

The festival of Eid was celebrated with great fervour and excitement. The celebrations began with the teacher explaining to the students the meaning, purpose, and importance of Ramadan.

The joy of giving was reinstated as they shared sweets among their friends and wished each other “Eid Mubarak” the traditional way. The day was even more spectacular as they also celebrated Red Colour & World Book Day where they learnt about the different characters and the importance of reading books.

It was also a beautiful way of developing their reading, writing, and social skills in the classroom.

A number of students were dressed up as different characters from the famous story of Little Red Riding Hood to celebrate Red Colour & World Book Day.

To add to the celebrations the students brought red colour snacks.

Overall, it was an exciting day for the students as they also came dressed in their traditional ethnic wear and some were dressed up as their favourite story characters and shared the goodness of the festivities.
