Muscat: A ceremony was organised on Thursday in the Omani capital Muscat to honour workers in the field of youth for the year 2023 in the GCC, on the sidelines of the 36th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Youth and Sports.
The State of Qatar participated in the 36th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Youth and Sports in the GCC countries with a delegation headed by Minister of Sports and Youth H E Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali.
The Ministers discussed ways to develop and strengthen joint Gulf action in the field of youth and youth volunteer work.
The meeting also reviewed the strategic plan for the work of the Committee of Ministers of Youth and Sports in the GCC states.
A number of items were also reviewed, the most important of which was the decision of the Supreme Council on strengthening joint action towards digital transformation and modern technologies, and activating joint programmes and youth activities and events that contribute to strengthening interdependence and integration among the youth of the Gulf countries.
Ways of working to achieve the aspirations and hopes of the youth and providing an environment that stimulates creativity, innovation and excellence were also discussed.
