Ebraz, owned by Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani imposed himself in the Coup du Sud-Ouest des pur-sang Arabes (Gr2 PA) at La Teste-de-Buch, on Tuesday.
The colt, at the beginning, was kept up in the middle of the field, while Thabid and Al Mouwaffak were leading the race at a fast pace.
In the home straight, Ebraz has shown a nice turn of foot and took quite easily the advantage at 100m from the post. It is a first success in France for this champion who won in an impressive style HH The Emir's Sword in Doha.
Ebraz's  trainer, Julian Smart said : “He won nicely and we are satisfied. The horse will run in Goodwood, the first leg of the Doha Triple Crown. It is not an easy challenge because he is not a miler. Today the race was selective and the style of his success shows that he could produce a good performance in England. After Goodwood he will go to Chantilly for the Qatar Arabian World Cup."
"The French race could fit him because he has a lot of class and stamina. He is a bit immature even if he is a 4 years old. For Chantilly, Cristian Demuro could ride him. He has a lot of experience on that course.”
