Amman: The United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen Hans Grundberg announced on Wednesday the Yemeni parties' agreement to stabilize the current truce during Eid Al Adha.

In a press release, Grundberg stated that at their third meeting in the Jordanian capital, Amman, representatives of the Yemeni parties to the Military Coordination Committee confirmed their commitment to cease all military operations inside and outside Yemen.

They agreed to work to strengthen trust building efforts and help create an enabling environment for dialogue between the parties to the conflict in Yemen, as well as to protect the safety of the country's civilians and infrastructure.

Grundberg confirmed the UN readiness to support the Yemeni parties by providing technical assistance and facilitating the dialogue process to achieve a lasting truce in that country.

Since April 2, Yemen has entered a truce under the UN supervision, which included a ceasefire on all fronts for two months, while on June 2 it was extended for two more months.
