Qatari-French entities sign three agreements at investment meet

DOHA: The Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) in cooperation with the French Embassy in Doha organized yesterday the Third investment Majlis to mark the visit of a French delegation led by Matthias Fekl, French Minister of State for Foreign Trade.
The event was attended by Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, QBA Chairman and Hussein Alfardan, QBA First Deputy; and Akbar Al Baker, Group CEO, Qatar Airways.
Among other top Qatari businessmen attended the event include Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal Al Thani, QBA Board Member, Nasser Suliman Al Haider, Maqbool Khalfan, Nabil Abu Issa. The event was also attended by Aisha Al Fardan, ViceChairman of the Qatari Business Woman Association and Dr. Hassan Derham President of Qatar University.
At the event, three Qatari entities signed partnership agreement with various French organisations. On behalf of Qatar University and Dassault Aviation a Letter of Intent was signed by Dr. Hassan AL Derham, President of Qatar University and Herve Estubier, Vice-President International General Directorate - Export Military Sales, respectively.
A separate Letter of Intent was signed by the Ministry of Public Health and Sanofi Aventis group and Embassy of France. While Dr. Salih Al Marri General Secretary Assistant for Health Affairs Office, General Directorate of Health Affairs Department represented the Ministry, Jean-Paul Scheuer, Country Chair and General Manager Rx, Gulf countries and Yemen signed on behalf of Sanofi. Eric Chevallier, ambassador of France to Qatar was another signatory.
Another agreement on Training Convention was signed between Alstom Transport and HEC Paris in Qatar by Thi-Mai TRAN, CEO GCC Cluster Alstom and M Laoucine Kerbache, Dean, HEC Paris, Qatar.

The Peninsula
