Thirty two-year-old Marlon Bito, who is afflicted with water-related disease leptospirosis, is carried into a makeshift raft at a flooded village in Las Pinas city, south of Manila, yesterday. Cases of leptospirosis disease in humans have been reported in the Philippines over the weeks, mostly in areas which are heavily flooded and contaminated with urine from infected animals.
