Three injured in attacks on Jazan and Najran international airports: Saudi Arabia

Doha, Qatar: Saudi Arabia’s aviation authority said that three people sustained minor injuries and that material damage was reported following attacks on international airports in Jazan and Najran on Monday evening, October 5, 2026.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation said in a social media statement that King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Najran International Airport were subjected to two attacks targeting their facilities. “Emergency response teams and the relevant authorities immediately began dealing with the attacks upon their occurrence, in accordance with approved procedures and plans,” it said.

The attacks resulted in three minor injuries, and the injured were transported to a hospital to receive the necessary medical care, the authority said.

The authority said it is working in coordination with the relevant security authorities to assess the damage and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of passengers and employees and maintain the security and safety of the Kingdom’s civil aviation system.
