DOHA: Plots allotted in the Industrial Areas to tenants cannot be sublet by them unless three years have lapsed.
And subletting can be done only to a Qatari citizen and not to an expatriate, that too, with written permission from the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning.
And endorsement is needed for subletting by the Real Estate Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice.
Application signed by the main tenant for subletting needs to be made to the municipal ministry, local Arabic daily Al Raya reported yesterday.
The daily said civic inspectors deputed in the Industrial Area were told the above in a workshop that was held on Tuesday.
A legal expert from the municipal ministry told the workshop that the conditions for subletting plots in the Industrial Area were contained in the ministry’s decision number 37 of 1990.
