The Emir’s gesture to students abroad

Since he took over, H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the esteemed Emir of our country, has got us used to seeing him pay huge attention to the people of his country. This attention manifests itself in the equal care the Emir offers to all segments of Qatari society.
The Emir recently raised the social security pension. This decision has benefited the recipients in view of the rising prices.
Some time ago, the Emir visited Qatari students in the United Kingdom. He was keen to meet all the male and female students. The meeting was full of cordiality and like one between members of a family. It was a meeting between a leader and some of the people of his country.
All the students were keen to be present in the meeting and shake hands with the Emir, knowing that such meetings may not be frequent in the future. This was why the meeting was full of love and good feelings.
No doubt, the Emir’s gesture of seeking a meeting with Qatari students in the UK was aimed first and foremost at encouraging these students and giving them the necessary motivation to acquire knowledge and work hard so that they can return to their country and offer it their services.
The financial gift the Emir offered the students was also as generous as always. This is particularly important given the fact that Qatari students in that country face myriad pressures resulting from high taxes, cost of living, transportation fees and insurance costs, to name but a few of the factors.
The students have many financial obligations in a country where prices are always on the rise because of taxes imposed on citizens and residents alike.
Finally, the gifts of our esteemed Emir cannot be counted. These gifts are offered out of the Emir’s desire to ensure the well-being of our students abroad as well as his desire to help them succeed and serve their country. God bless Qatar.
