New Delhi: Another patient died at a government hospital here yesterday, a day after four others died due to disruption of centralised oxygen supply, an official said.

“Vikram, 65, an east Delhi resident suffering from head injury and who was on life support, died due to lack of oxygen in Sushruta Trauma Centre last morning,” said a hospital official. Four patients died on Tuesday in the hospital in north Delhi due to disruption of centralised oxygen supply. Police have registered a case under Indian Penal Code’s section 187 (negligent conduct with respect to machinery) and section 304A (death due to negligence) against the hospital authorities and the oxygen supplier.IANS
