Governor of Qatar Central Bank (QCB) HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud Al-Thani met here yesterday with the Governor of Kazakhstan's Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) Dr Kairat Kelimbetov, who is currently visiting Doha. During the meeting, the two sides discussed means to promote cooperation in the fields of finance, banking, exchange of expertise and training, withing the framework of the memorandum of understanding signed between Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) and AIFC, according to a QNA report.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Qatar Central Bank Sheikh Fahad Faisal Al-Thani, CEO of Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA) Michael Ryan, CEO of Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) Nasser Ahmed Al Shaibi, CEO of Al Rayan Bank (Masraf Al Rayan) Adel Mustafawi and a number of officials at Qatar Central Bank.
