The Changanacherry NSS College Alumni Association-Qatar Chapter celebrated Christmas and New Year together at a function at the Asiana Hotel on Friday. More than 300 members took part in the day-long events, the highlight of which was a ‘musical journey’ presented by a troupe comprising Smithosh B Nair, P V Dileep, Gopal Chandrasenan, Govind Chandrasenan, Vinesh Kumar, Varun and Pradeep. It transported the audience to the heart of central Travancore, a culturally vibrant region in the southern India state of Kerala. Senior Executive Committee member P S Venugopal rendered the college anthem, while General Secretary K Jayakrishnan welcomed the gathering and Vice-President Bindu Phillip proposed the vote of thanks. A magic show by Jamshi had the audience spellbound.
