Galfar Al Misnad started the new year with an environmental programme by conducting a tree plantation drive in its Umm Salal Ali accommodation. Senior management and a large number of workers took a pledge to look after the trees. About 200 saplings were planted around the accommodation facilities. Galfar, ISO 14001:2004 certified for environment management systems, conducted several environment programmes in 2012, including a scrap art competition, environment quiz, and tree plantation in the Abu Hamour Sewage Treatment Plant project site.
