DOHA: A two-day workshop on mandatory medical checkup for foreign workers begins today.
The workshop is being organised by the Supreme Council of Health (SCH).
Representatives from the council of the health ministers of GCC and delegations from GCC and Yemen are attending the workshop.
The workshop aims to give final touch to the regulation on mandatory medical checkup for foreign workers. A training session will also be held for the members of Central GCC Committee for expatriate medical checkup to train the trainers (TOT) and to educate them how to use the online system.
Trainers of technical committee will visit to the embassies and consulates of GCC states in workers exporting countries to train them to use the online system.
The workshop is being held as per the recommendation made in the meeting of the executive authority of council of GCC health ministers held in Riyadh in November last year, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reports.
