Doha, Qatar: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received in his office at Lusail Palace today the Secretary of State of the United States of America HE Anthony Blinken, who is currently visiting the country.
During the meeting, the strategic relations between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them were reviewed, in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues of common interest, especially the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
In this regard, His Highness stressed the necessity of working towards an immediate ceasefire and protecting civilians, introducing sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid into all areas of the Gaza Strip, and working to reduce the escalation in order to ensure stability and security in the region.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani.
