DOHA: Qatar is likely to export gas to Jordan, a Jordanian minister told a local Arabic daily yesterday.
The Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Mohammad Hamid told Al Sharq: “Jordan is expected to hold talks with Qatar for an agreement to import gas during upcoming visit of the Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada.” The visit is scheduled for March, he added.
Several meetings between technical teams of both countries are expected to discuss the deal, Hamid said.
A deal could be finalised after the Jordan port for importing natural gas is completed by the year-end, he added.
