DOHA: The Central Municipal Council (CMC) Secretary General Abdul Aziz Abdul Khader Al Ahmed was sacked in a majority vote on Tuesday. Of the 25 council members, 19 voted in favour of his removal, through secret ballots at an ordinary session.
Results were sent to the Minister of Municipality and Urban Planning HE Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Khalifa Al Thani for approval. CMC Chairman Saud Abdallah Al Hanzab told a local Arabic daily that the results reflected how badly relations between Al Ahmed and members were damaged.
