Doha: A high-level delegation from Ooredoo participated in the annual UK Career Fair for Qatari students.

By sponsoring the career fair and bringing a delegation that included Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani, Chairman, Ooredoo, and Sheikh Saud bin Nasser Al Thani, CEO, Ooredoo Qatar, the company demonstrated its commitment to recruiting the top Qatari students who are studying abroad in the UK.

Many top Qataris pursue university degrees or study abroad in the UK, and Ooredoo was able to reach out to many of them at the career fair, in line with the company’s Qatarisation goals of recruiting talented Qatari employees.

This was Ooredoo’s fourth appearance at the fair, following attendance in 2009, 2010 and 2012. The Qatari Embassy in London organised the career fair, which was held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani spoke to an audience of about 150 Qatari students on the exciting innovations and activities that are driving Ooredoo’s growth. He also talked about the launch of the new global brand of the company, Ooredoo, which he recently announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The delegation from Ooredoo included Buthaina Al Ansari, Senior Director, Human Resources; Mariam Ahmed Al Hayki, Manager, Employee Engagement and Communication; and Moza Khalid Al Muhannadi, Employee Engagement and Communications Supervisor.

Many students expressed interest in the company’s award-winning talent development programmes, including opportunities for internships, scholarships and a variety of rewarding, long-lasting careers in the exciting field of communications.
