Doha: The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Disaster Risk Reduction Mami Mizutori, visited the National Command Center (NCC), to learn about the functions of the centre and its mechanism of action.
Mizutori and her accompanying delegation listened to a detailed explanation of the centre’s specialisations, the nature of its tasks and roles within its strategic plans, and how to deal with events and manage crises.
The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Disaster Risk Reduction was briefed on the latest technical means used in the field of security systems, in the presence of the Head of the National Command Centre Major General Khalifa Abdullah Al Nuaimi, the Director-General of the General Directorate of Civil Defence Major General Hamad Othman Al Dehaimi, and a number of officers of the centre.
