Job-seekers filling applications at the Ministry of Interior booth.
Doha: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) pavilion at Qatar Career Fair, which concluded yesterday, attracted a good number of Qatari job aspirants including men and women. The last day of the fair witnessed big rush for police and civil job seekers and scholarship applicants for higher studies.
The total number of applications received till yesterday evening reached 1,600 — 690 for scholarship for higher studies, 210 for police jobs from males and 400 from women, 300 applications from degree/diploma holders of both genders.
The participation of Ministry in the Sixth Qatar Career Fair 2013 is in the framework of the Qatarisation policy to utilise the capabilities of the nationals in its work with more participation. The MoI pavilion at the fair provided the visitors the details about the vacant jobs in the ministry with salary packages and other benefits.
The Assistant Director of Human Resources Department at the Ministry Maj Mohammad Hamad Al Gayatheen said that employment door of the ministry open always for the nationals and it is not limited during Career Fair. He added that this year the ministry has received several application for higher studies pointing that the ministry is keen to send the aspirants for higher studies in the required fields. He applauded the big turn out of women for applying jobs in the MoI.
