Doha: Ooredoo has presented the Sheikh Thani bin Abdullah Foundation for Humanitarian Services (RAF) with a significant donation to support RAF’s Ifaf project for marriage and families, as part of Ooredoo’s corporate social responsibility strategy. The donation was presented at a ceremony recently.
Since 2009, RAF’s Ifaf project has provided financial and psychological support for nationals looking to marry and raise a family.
In recent years, Qatar has taken steps to support the continuity of cohesive families and large households, as part of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Recent news reports have shown that paying for weddings and maintaining strong families is a cause of concern for young people and their families.
Ooredoo’s donation of QR 200,000 supports Ifaf project, which plays a key role in supporting deserving candidates to cover the associated costs of weddings and to provide them with family support, helping them build stable families and contribute to the growth of the nation.
Mohammed Alansari, Director, Field Marketing and Events, Ooredoo, said: “As part of our goals of giving back to the community and helping our customers reach their dreams and aspirations, we have given this donation to RAF. This donation is in line with our corporate social responsibility strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030, which calls for supporting social development and family values.
