Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday met Dr Rehab Bitar, Ambassador of the European Commission of Human Rights, and Lebanese citizens released from Eazaz, north of Syria recently. The delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to Qatar’s efforts in securing their release and bringing them back to Lebanon.

Doha: The Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage H E Dr Hamad Abdulaziz Al Kuwari yesterday left for the UK for London International Book Fair in which Qatar is taking part with a pavilion after the Qatar-UK Cultural Year 2013. He will coordinate with publishers for the 25th Doha International Book Fair. He said the coming edition will be unprecedented in many respects to mark the 25th anniversary. He will also meet his counterpart Ed Vaizey and Boris Johnson, Mayor of London.
