Doha: Ooredoo yesterday announced that all new Shahry data pack subscribers would receive their first month’s data for free, as it introduced another #OoredooSmart offer.
The offer gives new Shahry data subscribers the first month of subscription for free, and through it, Ooredoo aims to give its customers a chance to sample the high speeds of the 4G network.
The promotion until June 30 will allow smartphone users in Qatar to stream, download, post to social media sites and transfer documents online at high speeds. Depending on their data pack, they can sample up to 6GB of free data.
The offer has been designed for the next generation of customers that consume more data due to their Smartphone’s capabilities and smart lifestyle.
Demand for Internet data is high in Qatar with the country ranked first in the developing world in percentage of individuals using the Internet (88.1 percent), according to the UN Broadband Commission’s State of Broadband Report 2013.
The free promotion is applicable to new subscribers who purchase a 1 GB, 3GB or 6GB data pack from Ooredoo’s Mobile Internet Packs (MIPs), Blackberry bundles or Mobile Broadband.
Bundles start from QR60 for Shahry customers.
Shahry data packs are in QR60 for 1GB, QR80 for 3GB, and QR100 for 6GB.
To subscribe to an Ooredoo mobile Internet pack and begin one-month free trial, Shahry customers need to SMS “MIP< amount>” to 114.
Ooredoo’s 4G network provides access to the fastest mobile Internet speeds in Qatar. Access is available for free for all customers with a 4G-enabled phone by sending the keyword ‘4G’ to 114 for Shahry customers.
