Doha: The Hall Ticket Distribution Ceremony for the students of Grade X of Birla Public School (BPS) for academic year 2021-22 was held on March 28, in Besant Kumar Birla Auditorium.
The theme of the ceremony was “Believe you can and you’re halfway there”. The event was hosted by the Secondary Section, under the leadership of the Headmistress, Lissy Mathew.
The event was attended by Senior Leadership Team led by the Academic Director - Principal Harish Sanduja, Vice-Principal (Scholastic) Edna Fernandez, Vice-Principal (Co–scholastic) Rajesh Pillai and Head of Non-Academics Vinod. The other guests were the Headmistresses of various Sections, the Heads of Departments and the Deputy Heads of Departments.
The MCs for the occasion were Ranchini Binu (Deputy HoD English) and Indhu Anilkumar (Year Coordinator Grade X). The ceremony commenced with a sublime prayer to the Almighty for His blessings and guidance, offered by Maria Phentalia (HoD French).
Lissy Mathew, the Headmistress Secondary Section, gave a heartening and encouraging foreword to the entire audience. The Lighting of the Lamp was carried out by the Academic – Director – Principal, the Vice-Principals, the Headmistress Secondary Section, the Headmistresses of various Sections and two student representatives from Grade X.
This was followed by a melodious rendition – ‘Song of Togetherness’ led by John, the music teacher and the School Choir Students.
The principal’s address to the students was infused with thought provoking tips from his childhood, combined with humour which caught the attention of the students and also gave them confidence.
Thereafter the Class Teachers of each division of Grade X were handed over the blessed files and stationary for the Board exam from the Principal, Vice Principals and Head of Non–Academics.
Leena Jerome (Secondary Teacher) invited two secondary student representatives Trivikram Sunil and Lea Mathews to share their experiences.
Both of them expressed their gratitude towards the Management, staff and fellow students for the fruitful years at BPS. Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Indhu Anilkumar (Year Coordinator Grade X).
