Four militants killed, four hurt in Afghanistan

Kabul: Four Taliban militants have been killed and four injured in joint operations carried out by Afghan forces and the Nato-led coalition troops within the last 24 hours.

The Afghan National Police (ANP) supported by the army and the Nato-led coalition forces conducted several joint operations in different parts of the country killing four Taliban militants, injuring four others and detaining seven others, Afghan Interior Ministry said in a statement.

The operations took place in Nangarhar, Parwan, Baghlan, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Logar, Khost, Farah, Ghor and Helmand, the statement added. 

The ANP also found and seized weapons and explosive during the raids.
