Additional assets belonging to detained Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. have been frozen.
In a report submitted Wednesday to the Sandiganbayan First Division, Sheriff Honofre Tejada Jr. said four properties of the lawmaker in Tagaytay City and Cavite City have been held by the court.
Tejada cited that a notice of attachment was served to the Registrar of Deeds of Tagaytay City which responded by anotating in their books the attachments to the properties of Revilla.
These include two properties in Tagaytay City, each with an area of 125 square meters, as well as two properties in Silang, Cavite measuring 10,191 square meters and 14,834 square meters.
In a February 5 resolution, the First Division ordered the issuance of a Writ of Preliminary Attachment/Garnishment that ordered the freeze of the properties of the legislator amounting to P224,512,500 which represent the total amount of ill-gotten wealth that he allegedly amassed.
Following the issuance of the writ of preliminary attachment/ganishment, the sheriff was able to find and freeze only around P290,000 from the bank accounts of Revilla.
