The US Department of State said it opposes Israeli plans to expand settlements in the West Bank by thoUSands of units.
Deputy Spokesperson of the State Department Jalina Porter told CNN that the US administration strongly opposes expanding settlements, given it could escalate tensions and undermine trUSt between both parties. She added that Israel's policy of expanding settlements harms a two-state solution.
The Israeli occupation's government announced Friday a plan to build 4,000 new settlement units in the West Bank.
