Doha, Qatar: The State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt, in a joint statement, affirm that their mediation efforts in the Gaza Strip are ongoing and consistent, based on their common vision aimed at ending the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip and alleviating the suffering of civilians through paving the way to create appropriate conditions for reaching a comprehensive truce.
In a Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement, both countries stress that attempts to spread division between brothers, through doubt, distortion, or media escalation, will not succeed, and will not stop them from continuing joint work to end this war and its humanitarian catastrophe.
"Both Qatar and Egypt affirm that they will not be drawn into any internal contexts or side agendas that do not serve the interests of the brotherly Palestinian people. They reaffirm their full commitment to a clear and focused framework aimed at alleviating suffering and securing truce as a step toward a lasting solution," it added.
The statement further said that both countries also confirm that their mediation efforts are being closely coordinated with the United States of America, with the goal of reaching an agreement that brings an end to the humanitarian crisis and ensures the protection of civilians.
