Forty-seven of the best images captured on lens by four gifted Qatari and Brazilian photographers are on display at the Qatar Photographic Society gallery in Katara in an exhibition entitled Qatar Brazil: A Journey from the Amazon to the Desert. Qatari lensmen Aref Al Ammari and Abdullah Al Tamimi embarked on a two-week-long exploration of Brazil, taking seven plane rides and covering long distances on foot to discover Brazilian culture, while Brazilian photographers Andre Joaquim and Leonardo Wen relished seeing Qatar’s urban and desert landscapes and exploring the Arabian Peninsula’s history, people and traditions. Open until the end of this month, the exhibition is one of the highlights of the Qatar Brazil Year of Culture, organised by Qatar Museums.
