The Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Qatar Chapter held it’s Annual Members’ Night 2015 on Friday at Radisson Blu, Doha.
The event was held for the sixth consecutive year with the participation of the popular singer from Sri Lanka T M Jayarathna who entertained with his classical music of the 1970’s, 1980’s and 1990’s.
The chief guest for the event was Jayantha Palipane, the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar.
Arjuna Herath, the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, was the guest of honor. Herath, in his speech to the members hailed the achievement of the chapter in the short period of time from its inception as the first overseas chapter and fast become the most active and leading chapter around the world playing the role model for other chapters.
The event started with the traditional lighting of lamps by the Chief Guest, Guest of honour and the executive committee. A video segment was organised to reflect the activities carried out in the preceding year and a presentation about the past presidents of the chapter as a tribute.
The event included musical programmes, dance, raffle draws and entertainment for children as well.
The event was attended by the members of the Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka, Qatar Chapter, invited guests and their families.
