The Qatar Volleyball Association (QVA) organised a ceremony in Doha on Sunday to honour El Jaish for being the team of the season. QVA President Khalid Ali Al Mawlawi presented the Excellence Trophy to El Jaish Secretary-General Khamis Al Kuwari at the QVA Hall. Also present on the occasion were sponsors Suleiman Brothers representatives. El Jaish were the surprise package of the season. They defeated Al Arabi Club 3-1 to win the QVA Cup, the season-opening event. They also qualified for the finals of the prestigious Qatar Cup and Emir’s Cup. Al Rayyan had to work hard to beat El Jaish 3-2 in the Qatar Cup final and Al Arabi defeated them 3-0 in the title-clash of the Emir’s Cup.
